How To Make DM Work For You

Rick Jorgenson is my sponsor in PIF4P. He has a terrific blog
which all members of his team as well as many others in PIF4P
use on a daily basis. It is a daily guide to his unbelievable
success in PIF4P that he readily shares with us.

Following is his excerpt about Direct Matches:

DirectMatches - Terrific Resource To Get Members

I'm sure most of you have heard of MySpace, the social network
phenomena that has 40+ million members. DirectMatches builds on
that idea but gears it for the professional and network marketing
audience.

DirectMatches is a free to join network where you can create a
profile, network with your primary prospect group and advertise
your PIF4P business.

DirectMatches is the first in the online business and social
networking industry to deploy a multi-matchmaking system that
helps people locate everything from business contacts to network
marketing professionals. It is the first business and social
networking service with a contact management system that
operates on a "dynamic basis", where members are able to select
from dedicated networking communities.

Here's how you can get the most out of your DirectMatches
membership.

If you haven't done so already sign up:
http://www.directmatches.com/lynda

You will want to get at least a "Managing IR" membership
($19.95) to be able to get the most out of this tool.

Once you've signed up you will want to set up your user
profile. There are 3 areas that you will be placing your
profile information. Keep in mind that this information is
used to match you against other members profiles in the
system. Here is what I put in my profile to match the people
I'm most looking for in the system:

Under "Occupation" I checked "MLM". You may want to check
"Retired" and "Self-Employed" as well.

Under "Business Topics" I checked "Ad Strategies", "Internet
Marketing" and "Home Based Business".

Under "Business Interests" I checked "Marketing, Advertising"
and "Networking".

Once you've done that put your other information in and click
on "submit".

You will then be taken to your profile page where you will want
to click on "My Business Matches". You will find that you
should have matched hundreds if not thousands of other members.
This is where you will get started in building your
DirectMatches contact base.

Once you are on the "My Business Matches" page you will want to
start adding contacts. Assuming all of these folks match what
you are looking for, go ahead and start clicking on the "add me
to contacts" button for each one. You want to go through at
least the first 10 pages, which will be 100 contacts. Once
you've done that you can go back to those contact profiles and
send them an email introducing yourself.
Keep it informal and short. Make sure you have your sig file on
the bottom of your email (you can set it up in your email options).

You will now have 100 contacts that you will have made initial
contact with. Hopefully, they should all add you as a contact on
their page. They will automatically show up in your contact
section on your page giving you the opportunity to have regular
communications with them. You will want to continue this process
(adding business matches) on a daily basis. By the end of the
week you should have 700 new contacts to network with and more
than likely a few sign ups into PIF4P.

The next thing you can do as part of your DM strategy is to send
daily group emails out to your contact list. You are limited to
sending it to 60 people a day so plan accordingly. That doesn't
mean you can't send more than that, just that you can only send
60 group messages at a time. I would send a daily tip out,
something that will help them in building their MLM business.
You can tie it to the Success Guide or just something that you
are doing to drive traffic. People will soon start to expect this
from you and you will become an information resource for them.
Send a link to your blog as well as a helpful resource.

Another powerful feature you have within DM is the network
search feature that you will find in your mail page. You will
use it to locate members that are in particular network
marketing companies, like Shaklee or Xango. You will get
back pages of contacts that belong to that MLM group. Once
you've done that you click on "add me to contacts", then I
come back to their profile and click on the email link.

This is what he tells us to email to them. I am using my
links in this example.

Subject Line: Want to build your (insert the
name of their MLM) downline faster?

I'm going to be direct and to the point..

Would you like to find out how to sign up more
members into (insert the name of their MLM)then
you ever thought possible?

http://perfectangel.payitforward4profits.com

Using this system I've been able to sign up
500 new members in the past 6 weeks.

And the best part..It's free to join.

Check it out.

Let me know if you have any questions once
you've had a chance to look at it.

average people with no marketing backgrounds
are getting prospects to pay them....NEVER
PAY FOR TRAFFIC AGAIN!!!
http://perfectangel.payitforward4profits.com

Try and send out at least 15-20 of these everyday. It is
a more aggressive approach but it works really well.

The other activity you can do is to post comments on your
contacts page. Simply go to their page and click on add a
comment. You can write a quick note and add the PIF4P
banner in that comment field as well.

By working your DM resource on a daily basis you will bring
a good deal of qualified traffic to your PIF4P website and
start getting signups from that traffic.

5 More Reasons To Start An Internet Business

In order to start an Internet business you must have a computer with an Internet connection. But if you are reading this blog, this is not a problem for you.
Reason # 6 -- You already have the necessary tools to start your online business.

You work out of your home so your overhead costs are nonexistent. You do not have to go to an office so you do not need gas to commute and business suits to look smart.
You're clients are on your computer so you do not have to hire employees to look after them when you are not available.
Reason # 7 -- Very little overhead since it is a home business plus a lot of tax advantages as well.

You can work your business on your time. Mind you if you do not treat it as a business you will not get business pay. Treat it like a hobby and that is how it will pay you. There is no get rich quick scheme to this. It is all hard work and sacrifice on your part for the first year or so. But when it booms you will know it. The return will be more then worth what you put into. :-)
Reason # 8 is you can work it on your terms to get what you want out of it.(and you do not have to quit your present job till you are ready to do so)

With a traditional business your customer base comes from within a certain driving distance of your store. On the internet your customers are worldwide. You are not limited to a certain area because of delivery issues. Your digital products can be accessed anywhere at anytime.
So reason # 9 is a global ever expanding market as more and more people access the internet every day.

Finding out what to do on the internet market is not always an easy task. There are so many ebooks out there. How does a person know which one tells the steps to take in an absolutely easy to follow and duplicable way. And -- that what it tells you really does work! That is the key question I asked myself for the first 8 months I was online. Then I did find a system that really does work. Part of that system to get traffic to my sites was the creation of this blog. The guide explained to me how to do it step by step just as everything was explained to me from the beginning. If you are looking for a way to make money online and want real support, then email me at lshelvey@hotmail.com and put 'Real Support' in the subject line.
So reason # 10 is having friendly support on a daily basis with a team that works with you to make sure you do make money online.

But you do have to make the decision to get started. If you are not sure how to start, then you must take the action to find out. You may know very little other then the fact that you truly do want a business online when you start. But this is one business that can be learned along the way.

And remember -- You don't have to get it right to be successful. You just have to get it going.

Traffic Traffic Traffic

Some times the poet in me likes to come out --
usually late at night when I'm dreaming
and scheming.
So here's a silly little ditty I composed.

A whole new way to look at TRAFFIC. :-)
Enjoy.

I used to think that TRAFFIC
Was too many cars on my street.
But now I'm an Internet Marketer
And find it's something I need.

I spend TIME each day at the puter
Just clicking my life away.
Gotta earn those credits
So I'll have more debits
To spend at the Traffic Exchange!

I've written my articles
Submitted my ads
Bannered and scrapered my sites
But my lead capture pages
Won't earn me my wages
This whole thing keeps me up at night!

Viral Marketing, I'm told
Is the New way to go
Just maybe there's something in that!
Cause I'm tired of putting
My life on hold ---
While I click away for Naught!

Just keep on clicking everyone, it really does work.

5 Very Good Reasons to Start an Internet Business

Let me tell you why an Internet business is the
best type of business to start. The start up
cost of an internet business as compared to a
brick and mortar business is virtually nil.
You can have a domain name and hosting for
under thirty dollars. If you know anything
about html you can have your site up and
running in an hour or two. If you don't then
like everything else you can find the how to
on the internet.
So reason # 1 is low startup cost.

Perhaps you do not have a product or a service
to sell. There are so many kinds of businesses
that will pay you to sell their products as an
affiliate for a very nice commission you will
not be sure which ones to offer to your
visitors. A good rule of thumb is to stick with
products/services that complement each other.
So reason # 2 is you don't have to have your
own product or service to sell to make money
on the internet.

Since most products/services on the internet
are digital there is another distinct advantage.
You do not have to warehouse or store products.
Reason # 3 is no product to keep in stock.

As an affiliate you are paid by the product
owner after the sale is made -- some monthly,
some bi-weekly and even some as soon as the
purchase is finalized. So as an affiliate you
do not have to worry about collecting money
plus the system to do so.
Reason # 4 is no money to collect.

Because the internet is live 24/7 your
internet business is never closed. Think what
that can do to your bottom line. It makes you
money while you sleep. How cool is that! You
can be on vacation, fishing or doing whatever
you love to do and it just keeps working for
you.
Reason # 5 is your store is always open.

And this is just for a start. I'll add more
tomorrow and probably some later on too.

Interesting Notes From Derek Gehl

Derek Gehl always has great ideas on ways to promote your site and get more traffic to it.
The following is just some of the interesting tidbits he offers to any that would like to use them as new strategies for their website.

These days, social media sites are HUGE! In fact, they make up five of the top 10 fastest-growing Web brands on the Internet, according to Nielsen/NetRatings.

And this explosive growth isn't likely to end anytime soon.

So if people are hanging out on these sites in ever-expanding numbers, don't you want to be there too? Just like in the offline world, "location, location, location" is the key to success!

Now, there's been a pretty big buzz around the phrase "social media" lately. But what exactly does it mean?

Social media sites are simply online gathering places where people share interesting, entertaining, informative, or just plain *goofy* content with each other.

This content can take many different forms. It can be...

* Personal information in the form of blogs

* Useful articles about anything and everything

* Photos or video clips that people might get a kick out of watching

* Collections of bookmarks to favorite online articles or web sites that people
can check out for themselves

Members of these communities can comment
on each other's contributions, engage in
discussions, and find other people who
are interested in the same things they are.

Hanging out and participating at these
sites can be a great way to make new
online friends or business contacts.

It's also an effective strategy you can
use to drive more traffic to your business
site -- not only from the social media
sites themselves, but also from the
improved search engine placement you'll
get from having more high Page Rank links
pointing to your web site!

Promoting Your Blog

Everyone says that having a blog on your site is a great way of getting traffic to your website. So you installed a blog and started to post on a regular basis. Now, how exactly does it get all this great traffic?

There really isn’t anything magical about a blog where traffic is concerned. A blog is a content management system. You enter content and it creates pages. The pages on your blog aren’t any different from the pages on the rest of your website as far as search engines are concerned.

It’s a myth that search engines like blogs better than standard websites. A page is a page and content is content. What is different is the ease in which you can add new pages of content.

Where a blog does excel as a traffic generator is that it is not reliant on search engines for traffic. A blog doesn’t wait for a search engine to come read it. It has it’s own way of reaching out and telling others that there is something new and fresh to be read and that is the RSS feed.

By submitting your RSS feed to directories and making it available on the blog itself for individuals to subscribe to, you insure that new posts get noticed by a wide audience everything you add something new.

If you can take a day or two out to make the rounds off all of the RSS and Blog directories, you will be pleased with the results when your posts start to turn into instant traffic magnets.

You can promote your blog directly by adding it to your email and forum signatures. Mention it in the author bio of your web articles and publish the link on your main website. Take your RSS feed over to Feedburner.com and have it converted into a little animated billboard that you can publish wherever you want people to be able to read your most recent blog headines.

One way to attract blog traffic is to take some time to post comments on other people’s blogs. Don’t turn into a blog spammer by any means. Visit blogs that interest you and make appropriate and interesting comments, then include a link to your own blog as a courtesy.

Your blog will create additional traffic for you over time if you’ll provide the means for it to happen.

What To Post On Your Blog

Everybody has different ideas about exactly what they should post on their blog. A young person that is just sharing with friends is going to add her latest pictures, thoughts on school and the latest beau, the upcoming school dance or teachers and tests.
Some families use blogs as a way of sharing what is happening within each part of the family. Because so many families are spread out across the country this acts as a common thread to keep everyone in the loop. Family pictures can be posted as they are taken keeping grandma and grandpa up to snuff on that new grandchild's latest achievement. Blogging is a just fantastic way to stay in touch with each other on a regular basis.
Using blogs to get traffic to a website is now a common strategy of those familiar with marketing techniques. By linking to their product/marketing sites an online marketer can eventually get niche-targeted traffic to their website. This is the ultimate goal of every marketer. But it is no easy task. Diligence is required on the part of the marketer. Daily postings are a must or at least several times a week to start. It takes time to add enough postings to get the search engines to actually spider your site without pinging it yourself every time you add a new article or write a new post. The key element is to intersperse some of your own articles with some interesting articles from relevant sources. Offering advice plus a free report once in a while will get people coming back to check out your blog more often.
Looking to blog but not sure how? Just follow along and I will keep offering as many ideas as I can dig up.

An Excellent Tool For Beginning Bloggers

Wordpress vs Blogger - Which To Choose

When you’re ready to start blogging, you have quite a few options. The first decision to make is which blogging platform that you’re going to use. The two most popular formats to choose from are Blogger and WordPress. Both are free and both can be formatted to host your blog files on your own hosting account. So how do you choose between them?
Blogger is popular for its easy set up. You can visit Blogger.com and have your own blog up ad running in just a few minutes. If you want Blogger to host your blog files for you, you simply choose a subdomain name and you get a blog URL that looks like this: http://whateveryoudecidetonameit.blogspot.com.
Blogger gives you several preset templates to choose from and you do have some ability to customize the look.
If you have an existing website that you would like to add your Blogger blog to, you just create a folder on your hosting account, then provide the FTP info to Blogger and it will publish the files over to your site.
Wordpress offers you a hosted option similar to Blogger at Wordpress.com, however the options for customization on the hosted version are limited. If you’re going to choose Wordpress, you will be happier with the features and customizing options if you install the blog script on your own hosting account.
Installing Wordpress is much easier that you might think. You simply upload the files and open up the install page, one click later and you’re all set. Customizing the look is a little more involved but there are good instructions available online.
Wordpress installed on your own domain shines over Blogger with features like being able to set up categories and publish ‘pages’ in addition to the individual blog posts. Wordpress also gives you the ability to schedule posts so you can set it and forget it for a period of time.
If you’re blogging for personal reasons, Blogger is a good choice for its simplicity and ease of use. If you’re using a blog to promote your business, you will enjoy the feature rich options that come with Wordpress. Pick the right tool for the job and you’ll be enjoying your blog for years to come.

Blogging for Traffic

There are several very good reasons why a blog can be used as an effective traffic generating tool. As a means of sharing information blogging has been in use for quite some time now. However recently it was noticed that these social marketing tools, as blogs are sometimes called, can help you expand your customer base. Why is that? Well blogs let you interact with your readers by way of comments and permalinks.
When a person types in a search engine query that has words in it from one single post, they may not know about you or your site, but they will become niche visitors just because you took the time to update your content frequently with quality articles and posts. These niche visitors can even turn into buyers and -- BONUS -- you didn't even have to fight to get top listings in the search engines.
Blog often and the search engines will love you -- just make sure to use quality content -- you will get more visitors and a good search engine ranking.
A blog doesn't even have to be about products that you are selling. You can blog about your passion and then do a little soft-sell at the end or just link to them as an afterthought. Once a
person's interest is piqued they will check out your links and may even become a new customer.
A blog is forever so make your posts count! Once your blog items are stand-alone pages they will be indexed by the search engines the same as any other html page. They will continue to bring traffic even if you don't update them as often as you did at first.
And best of all the only expense to a blog is your time. It is advertising at its best without costing a cent. It makes your business visible and will attract the attention of other like-minded individuals who are looking for opportunities as well. You may end up with some great joint venture partners as well as results beyond your wildest dreams.
Create your own hardworking, cost-effective marketing tool. Create your blog today!
